Discussion Papers in Diplomacy
The Discussion Papers in Diplomacy act as a sounding board for current debate. They aim to keep a finger on the pulse of contemporary research in the field of diplomacy. The papers focus on diplomacy as the mechanism of communication, negotiation, representation and collaboration between states and other actors, including non-governmental ones. They provide senior and junior scholars with an opportunity to publish their work rapidly and reach a global audience. As we do not only distribute to scholars, but also to practitioners and policymakers, policy-relevance is a hallmark of this series. The papers are issued electronically, usually within three months of submission for the purposes of diplomatic training and public debate
The Editors are Ingrid d’Hooghe and Ellen Huijgh, Clingendael Diplomatic Studies Programme (CDSP), The Netherlands Institute of International Relations 'Clingendael', The Hague. Prof.dr. Jan Melissen, Head CDSP, is the managing editor. They welcome suggestions and proposals for papers, which can be send to: papersindiplomacy@clingendael.nl
